There is something joyful about discovering a pile of old photographs, but after leafing through them and putting them back under the bed you are inevitably left with a feeling that you should do something more with them. Well this is where Historypin comes in.

Historypin is a collaboration between Google and We Are What We Do, the social movement that launched I'm Not A Plastic Bag and the book, Change the World for A Fiver, it aims to become the largest user generated archive of historical images and stories in the world. We created the Historypin launch event, you can watch the live demo here and find out more here and here. Then have a go yourself.
